Partnerships with Employers

As a result of the rise in NEET statistics in Liverpool AVCT has created strategies to work with employers in order to increase employment opportunities for young people.

The world of Apprenticeships is changing in The United Kingdom and the rationale for promoting partnerships with employers is due to Apprenticeship and Pre Apprenticeship delivery will be increasingly commissioned by employers from August 2016.

A partnership with Liverpool’s Children’s Hospital identified a shortage in Health Care Assistant roles so our organisation developed a specialist qualification for young people to pursue and progress to work placements and employment in the National Health Service.

Working Futures and Access to Work projects are in place to support young people classified as NEET. Both of these provide supported work placements to young people who face barriers to employment and sign post them to new opportunities.
